Corporate Support Fuels Recognition of Innovation, Vision, and Dedication in Fiji's Architectural Scene
Suva, November 29, 2024 — In a renewed show of support, Extra Supermarket has stepped up as a sponsor for the 2024 Fiji Architects’ Association (FAA) Awards, set to be held this evening at the Fiji Museum.
The sponsorship announcement was made yesterday at the FAA’s headquarters by Leilani Burns, Extra Supermarket’s Sales and Marketing Manager. Burns highlighted the importance of the awards in honoring the innovation, vision, and dedication of Fijian architects who contribute meaningfully to the built environment. “For us, it’s definitely a way to support the work that is going to benefit our country,” she emphasized.
FAA’s General Secretary, Setoki Tuiteci, expressed deep appreciation for the collaboration. He recalled how Extra had originally come on board during the association’s revival last year—when the FAA had been dormant for several years—and were instrumental again this year in making the awards possible. “We are happy that Extra decided to partner with us again this year in the awards for 2024, and we look forward to working with them in the future as well,” Tuiteci stated.
The evening’s ceremony will feature five judges, including three international experts who flew in especially to finalize the winners. Interest in attendance is high—tickets are selling fast, with a few available at the door for those wishing to join the celebration.
